Frequently Asked Questions
While we will provide detailed recommendations regarding timing, here is the rundown:

3) our private transport meets our group at the airport for the incredibly scenic drive into the park
Staying at EcoCamp is so special, we made up a new word for the experience: "Bouge-Wild!" Think bougie comforts like high thread-count sheets and sumptuous comforters, and beautiful and delicious three course dinners with some of our favorite cocktails anywhere in the world. Combine that with the "wild" experience of sleeping in geodesic domes crafted from natural materials surrounded by the natural beauty of majestic mountains, and you have Bouge-wild! We will be staying in the most luxurious domes on the property; each dome suite has wood-burining heat, and an ensuite with hot shower and composting toilet.
Being in Patagonia allows for a true digital detox, as wi-fi and phone service are not generally available within the park. We find that while it takes some getting used to, we're far more interested in connecting with nature and each other than the internet. And, not to worry: for emergent needs, internet and phone can be accessed through the onsite office, and guides carry satellite phones for safety. You will also be provided with contact information for the office in the event you need to be reached.
This is one of our most active group trips. Each day's excursion includes a guided hike, with some steep sections. Hiking distances range from 4 to 14 miles.
We will be traveling to Patagonia during the heart of spring. This means wildflowers, quieter trails, and greater opportunity to see wildlife. Temperatures range from mid-30's during morning and evening, to mid 50's during the day when we're hiking. All year round, Patagonia is known for its unique climate, where you can sometimes experience all four seasons in one day: sun, wind, rain, and maybe even snow flurries.
Upon booking, we will provide a detailed packing list. Learn from our previous trips: we'll share what to definitely pack, and what you can leave at home!

Carrie and Kelly put together a perfect itinerary of activities through this wonderful week; from the excitement of climbing (including a suggestion for how each group member could best be supported which was so thoughtful), to the humbling time spent with majestic elephants in a truly ecological sanctuary putting these noble animals first, to the well-prepared yoga sessions. As someone who had never tried yoga nor meditation before, I was a little anxious, however the facilitators subtly ensured that each movement was from a place of comfort, then made more complex for those who wanted more. It really did appeal to all abilities and experience. More than anything, Carrie and Kelly understand people. Everything they do puts this week-long family first. Every need is catered for, every worry carefully listened to and kindly dealt with. The result was a truly life-changing experience and some new friends who occupy the warmest part of my heart. Thank you, keep doing what you do, you are both phenomenal people and I’m so grateful for this experience.
