We typically invest many months and sometimes years of detailed and tedious research before traveling to new locations, go there ourselves, develop relationships with individuals and vendors, before extending the invitation for you to join us. We do the “not fun” parts of travel research and planning, so you don’t have to. You simply get to say “yes!” to the retreat experiences that speak to you, and show up. We take care of the rest.
Our values include supporting local communities. That’s why we typically visit more off the beaten path locations, and center authentic interactions over more “touristy” options. When possible, we work with local vendors so that our dollars can directly impact the individuals and communities we visit. Our hope and intention is that our impact on communities is positive or neutral, and that we are not inadverdantly causing harm to native individuals, traditions, or animals.
Another of our values is honoring the earth and its limited planetary resources. We realize that flying to destinations creates a carbon footprint. We encourage our participants to book flights that have carbon offsetting, or utilize a third party provider to do so. We aim for zero single use plastic on our retreats; in areas where clean drinking water is hard to come by, we utilize and encourage our participants to use Life Straw bottles for filtration. Some of the locations we choose specifically engage in eco-supportive practices, such as recycling gray water and operating via solar power.
There are two of us. Ha! Seriously, though: when you book with us, you get a ton of support, encouragement, and guidance both before and during our retreats. If one of us is temporarily unavailable, the other one of us has your back. You can count on us to take really good care of you, and even more importantly, to support you in taking great care of yourself while on retreat. Also, we’re longtime friends IRL, and simply work really well together to serve you well.
We have a sh*t ton of training, experience, and specialized expertise. With a background in social work, Carrie has been teaching yoga since 2012, training yoga teachers since 2015, and coaching executives and leaders since 2016. With a background in leadership development, Kelly left corporate in 2014. Since then, she has incorporated bodywork, mindfulness and ceremony, and grief/life transition coaching into her healing services. We create a strong container for you, and offer practices during retreat that previous participants have described as “transformational.”
We’re fun. Seriously! Meet us and find out! One of our favorite quotes from a first time participant: “At first I was skeptical, but y’all are actually cool as hell.”

Hi! I’m Kelly. I wasn't always a confident traveler. On my first big trip (to India!) I was so overcome with anxiety that I had a full-blown panic attack on the way to the airport and had to ask the driver to pull over. I was terrified I'd do it wrong, stick out too much, or not know how to "be" in a completely different culture. But I went. And somewhere between the jet lag, the jasmine, and the chaos, something cracked open in me. I realized that fear is often the threshold to transformation- and travel, for me, became a sacred doorway.
Since then, I've found some of my most profound, joy-drenched, heart-shaking moments while exploring this world- whispering softly to ancient trees, dancing barefoot on unfamiliar soil, and yes, occasionally letting out a sassy profanity laced rant when life (or travel) throws its messiest truths at me. Because travel doesn't need to be perfect. It just needs to be real.
As a multi-faceted healer (massage therapist, grief coach, intuitive guide) I believe that putting our physical selves in unfamiliar places gives us rare access to our inner landscapes. Travel cracks us open- exposing us to the raw beauty and bittersweet tenderness of being alive. It's not just about seeing the world; it's about being seen by the world, and remembering ourselves in the process.
Whether you're brand new to international travel or have a passport full of stamps, I'm here to help hold space for your journey. Let's explore, expand and laugh (a lot) as we move through this world, wondrous world together.
Hi! I’m Carrie. I used to think that travel was for other people: people with more time, resources, or travel savvy than me. Yet I yearned to experience different places, cultures, food, wine, architecture, landscapes... all of the beautiful circumstances that travel makes possible. I satiated my desire for years through reading travel magazines and memoirs, daydreaming about the day when someday, I could experience the world through travel, too. Fast forward a few years, when I decided to shift all the beliefs I had about why I thought I couldn't travel, and turned "someday" into now. While I've now had the opportunity to check many destinations and experiences off my bucket list, I find that the more I see of the world, the bigger that bucket becomes. My observation through my own personal travel as well as 12 years of leading transformational retreats around the world is that sharing wonder, self-discovery, and connection among a community of similarly curious and engaged individuals will transform you, if you let it. If you're already a seasoned traveler, our retreats offer you a deeply intentional, highly curated small group travel experience with opportunities to connect with culture, land, people.. and yourself. If you, like me, have been yearning to experience the world, I hope you’ll turn "someday" into now, and join us on an upcoming adventure as we Explore and Expand together.
