Imagine ringing in the New Year on our own private beach in Costa Rica, toasting our intentions for the year ahead beneath the stars as gentle waves lap at our toes. Waking up the next morning in our own glorious paradise, walking along the path from your room to the open air cucina for a rich cup of local coffee, the smell of ylang ylang flowers emanating from the trees along the way. Taking a leisurely stroll down the beach, maybe popping into the ocean for a spontaneous swim before yoga. Dozing off by the pool with your favorite book after lunch while you wait for your afternoon massage. Heading back to the cucina for a cocktail infused with fruits from the tropical trees in the garden as the aromas of our dinner waft through the air. Heading home a week later with your heart full, your vision for your New Year clear, and memories and a community that you’ll remember for always.

How do I get there?

We will provided details instructions to support you in arranging your flights. In the meanwhile, the short version is: 1) Fly into San Jose, Costa Rica. 2) Take a regional flight to Puerto Jimenez. 3) We will greet you at the airport along with our driver, to head to our beachfront paradise, just 20 minutes away!

I really want to bring my partner, but they don’t practice yoga. Can they still come?

Absolutely! All group activities, including yoga, are optional. And, we offer practices to delight a range of levels. Some yoga classes will be great for everyone, even including folks who have never stepped foot on a yoga mat. Other classes may be geared toward people with some experience practicing yoga. You’ll be provided with a detailed itinerary, so you (and your partner!) can decide what you’d like to participate in, and what you’d like to skip.

I’m a solo traveler and don’t know any of the other participants. Can I still come?

Yes! Absolutely! Many of our retreat participants are solo travelers. While you may begin the retreat on your own, you’ll leave with a community that very much feels like family (and probably will be, forever).

I see that rooms are double occupancy. What if I want to stay in a room by myself?

On this particular retreat, private rooms are not available. Consider inviting a friend to join you on retreat, or allow us to pair you with another solo traveler for your roomie.

You Don't just have to take our word for it

Traveling solo was a big step out of my comfort zone, but I'm so glad that I did it! I felt so much of the trip was an invitation to deeper self-discovery and expansion, from meeting strangers ( who many felt like family by the time I left) to tasting new food/cuisine, also hiking and sharing during the workshop times. I felt like I have a deeper sense of integrity and also adventure / courage after going on this trip. Something about it gave me a greater sense of confidence to travel more in the future and invest in things that are generative for my creativity and good for my soul. It was a rejuvenating/inspiring experience from the hospitality on the island, to the incredible food and meals that we shared, to the gorgeous island views. It was a mix of soulful self/group reflection mixed in with playful adventure and exploration. It exceeded any expectation I had!
